From the President
First of all I would like to wish everyone a
belated Happy New Year. I hope this is a
great year for you and your family.
As we start a new year at the club, I would
like to express thanks to those who have completed their term on the Board –
Eddie Clement, Sue Herring, and Scott Hetzler.
They have put in a lot of time into making this a better place for
everyone to enjoy. I would also like to
express my appreciation to Travis Loe who has served as president for the last
two years. He’s been an excellent leader
and I look forward to learning from him and others in the future.
We have four new Board members – Holly
Johnston, Ty Roberts, Chad Powers and Brad Tooley (though Brad has been serving
the end of a vacated position this past year).
I look forward to serving with them and getting to know them better as
well.
As Travis mentioned in his last newsletter, we
are searching for a new manager of the club and are accepting applications
through the end of January. We
anticipate having someone hired within the next month.
As I prepared to write this, I read over
newsletters in the past and noticed one a couple of years ago where Courtney,
Zach and Billy were recognized for stepping up while we were in between golf
pros. Here we are again and we have the
same people stepping up and doing a great job.
I really appreciate all they do for the club.
Since becoming a member here, my wife and I
have felt privileged to be a part of this community and look forward to raising
our girls here.
Best Regards,
Chad Pernell

The Ladies Auxiliary bought the new sod on #3.
The sod was put out at this time of the year because it will root better in the
cold weather. Short poles will be placed
from the bridge back along curve of cart path to protect the new sod from
players driving on it.
